Although it once was an industrial city, Sheffield is now one of the greenest cities in the UK with the highest ratio of trees to people in Europe – with over 2 million across the city! With the largest theatre complex outside of London and the oldest football club in the world it’s got lots to boast about. 

One of those things is its fantastic transport links. With a central train station providing routes up and down the country, it also has a tram network to get you around the city. Better yet, why not hop on the bus to Meadowhall and spend the day shopping. With big name brands like Primark and New Look, you’ll also find designer stores like Michael Kors and Whistles.

Sheffield’s outdoor spaces are equally as interesting. The Peace Gardens, right in the city centre, offer an indoor tropical experience or you can enjoy plants from all over the world in the pavilions at Sheffield Botanical Gardens.
